Eric West surged into the lead of the Men’s Championship Division while a sensational Sienna Mosquera extended her advantage as the Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championship delivered another day of high drama at Port Royal.
On a day of pristine scoring conditions on the Southampton layout, the leaderboard underwent a major shake-up across multiple divisions.
The Men's Championship Division saw a changing of the guard at the summit after a fascinating tactical battle.
Eric West climbed into the solo lead after firing a superb one-under-par 70, leaving him at even-par for the tournament. West mixed five brilliant birdies with nine pars and four bogeys to anchor his round and establish himself as the man to catch.
Overnight co-leader Alec Barker remains firmly in the hunt, sitting just one stroke back at one-over-par overall after carding a steady second-round 72.
The story of the day, however, was defending champion Jarryd Dillas. The first-round pace-setter endured a frustrating afternoon in the ocean breeze, slipping down the standings to five-over-par overall after carding a costly five-over 76.
In the Ladies Championship Division, Sienna Mosquera put on an absolute masterclass to turn the tournament into a personal showcase.
Mosquera was in sublime touch, torching the course with a magnificent four-under-par 67 to finish the day at three-under overall. Her spectacular scorecard featured five birdies, twelve pars, and just a lone bogey, opening up a commanding chasm at the top of the grid.
Tracy Burgess occupies second place at fourteen-over-par after bouncing back well with a four-over 75, while Kim Botelho sits in third position at twenty-two-over-par following a second consecutive round of 82.
Experience continued to dictate terms in the Senior Men’s Division, where Robert Vallis stretched his advantage with an excellent one-under-par 70.
Vallis played model, error-free golf, registering two birdies and fifteen pars against a single bogey to finish the day at one-over-par overall. Gary Burnet sits in second at thirteen-over-par after signing for a 76, with Arthur Jones hot on his heels just one shot further back in third after a tidy 74.
The Men's First Flight produced the tightest drama of the afternoon, with Richard Marriott grasping a slender one-stroke lead. Marriott carded an opening four-over-par 75 that included two birdies and ten pars. Tom Loomes is breathing down his neck in second place after a 76, while Jonathan James and Paul Egan sit tied for third after carding identical 77s.
Meanwhile, the Senior Ladies Division sees Tracy Burgess leading the charge at fourteen-over-par, with Linda Down holding second spot at twenty-nine-over-par and Tracy Nash rounding out the top three at thirty-one-over-par.
