All-rounder Cameron Jeffers produced a devastating bowling masterclass to inspire Bristol West Indian Phoenix CC to a comprehensive 59-run victory over Twyford House CC in the Bristol & District Cricket Association Second Division.
Having won the toss and elected to bat, Phoenix recovered from early setbacks to post a highly competitive 199-9 from their allotted 40 overs. Renel Stewart anchored the innings beautifully with a top-score of 61, while Jeffers chipped in with eight lower-order runs. Twyford House bowler Mark Fowler kept the hosts in check with a superb, economical spell of 3-19.
However, Twyford House's response completely crumbled under a relentless spin assault led by Jeffers. The Bermudian international administrative standard-bearer ripped through the visitor's batting lineup, extracting sharp turn to claim magnificent figures of 4-20 from his 6.5 overs.
Despite a resilient 31 from opener George Millett, Twyford House were emphatically bundled out for 140, handing Phoenix a thoroughly deserved maximum-points triumph to ignite their early-season momentum.
