North Village Rams showed immense character at Bernard Park, overturning a second-half deficit to secure a clinical 3-1 victory over FC Bascome in the Bermuda Football Association’s Under-23 Division.
The result marks a significant milestone for the Rams, who have now secured their second win of the tournament following a resilient display under the lights.
Following a cagey and scoreless opening 45 minutes, the match finally burst into life midway through the second half. It was FC Bascome who drew first blood in the 66th minute, though the breakthrough came via a stroke of misfortune as an own goal put them 1-0 ahead.
The setback appeared to galvanize the North Village side, who responded with a relentless offensive surge. Z’Dao Dill proved to be the catalyst for the comeback, finding the equalizer in the 73rd minute to bring the Rams level at 1-1.
With the momentum firmly in their favor, the Rams continued to press high. Their persistence was rewarded in the 78th minute when Ne-Jai Tucker showcased his clinical edge, firing North Village into a 2-1 lead.
As the clock ticked toward full-time, FC Bascome pushed for a late leveler, but they were caught out in the final moments. Dill made sure of the result in the 90th minute, notching his second goal of the match to put the game beyond reach.
