St. David’s Cricket Club and Warwick Workmen’s Club underlined their title credentials on a clinical weekend of domestic action, as heavyweights Bailey's Bay and Somerset CC struggled to find their rhythm.
The story of the day in the top flight was the sheer dominance of the ball over the bat.

St. David's Cricket Club Win by 8 Wickets

St. David’s Cricket Club made short work of PHC, romping to an eight-wicket victory. After winning the toss and electing to field, the home side unleashed Derrick Brangman, who delivered one of the spells of the season. Brangman’s figures of 3 wickets for just 3 runs from his four overs left the PHC middle order in tatters, restricting the visitors to a meager 83 for 8.
The chase was a mere formality for the Islanders. Justin Pitcher anchored the innings with a composed 38 not out, guiding St. David’s to their target of 84 in quick time to secure a vital haul of points.
St. George’s Cricket Club Won by 7 Wickets

St. George’s Cricket Club enjoyed a similar outcome, defeating Bailey's Bay by seven wickets. Bailey's Bay were restricted to 114/8 in their 20 overs, Terryn Fray was the top scorer with 61, which came off 42 balls he hit 7 fours, and 2 sixes, Zeko Burgess was the pick of the St. George's bowlers with figures of 3-0-18-3.
In reply the St. George's Cricket Club scored 118/3, Jonte Smith was the top scorer with a knock of 46, Rodney Trott was the pick of the Bailey's bay bowlers with figures of 2.4-0-18-2.
