The Bermuda Netball Summer League season continued at a sun-drenched Bernard Park with a full slate of fixtures across both the Women’s and Coed Divisions. In a night defined by clinical shooting and defensive resilience, the Lady Stars provided the standout performance in the Women’s Division with a convincing 25–8 victory over PHC.
Marissa Brangman was the catalyst for the Stars, accounting for 19 of her side’s goals to earn the Attacker of the Match award, while the versatile K’Xiyae Gibbons was named both Most Valuable Player and best defender for her dominant display in the circle. PHC struggled to find a rhythm against the relentless Stars' pressure, despite a battling effort from Terita Bean and Vernicka Symonds, who split the scoring with four goals apiece.
The second fixture in the Women’s Division proved to be a more high-scoring affair as the BDA College Chargers surged to a 31–21 win over Phoenix Blaze. Kammie Mills spearheaded the Chargers' offensive charge with a 20-goal haul, supported by eight from Sydney Santos and three from Chelsea Almeida.
Deontae Scott was instrumental for the victors, claiming MVP honours for a performance that combined tactical awareness with high energy. For Phoenix Blaze, the prolific Danielle Raynor carried the bulk of the scoring burden with 20 goals, but it was not enough to overcome the collective depth of the collegiate side.
Action in the Coed Division was headlined by a nail-biting encounter between Baileys Bay Breezers and RenRe & Friends. In a match where every possession felt pivotal, RenRe & Friends managed to edge the contest 11–10 to secure the points.
Krishay Tucker was the central figure for the winning side, netting six goals and picking up the MVP award for her clinical finishing. Baileys Bay had their chances to force a draw, with Teyah Lindo delivering six goals of her own, but the RenRe defensive unit, led by Rakeem Deshields, held firm during a frantic final period.
The night concluded with a powerful display from the Allshore Ballers, who overwhelmed Somerset 32–8. The Ballers were relentless from the opening whistle, with Ebonie Cox delivering a masterclass in goal-shooting to finish with 17 goals.
Nikita Trott contributed 10 more in a performance that showcased the Ballers' superior speed and ball movement. Steveland Brown-Darrell was the standout individual on the court, claiming both the MVP and best defender awards for a dominant showing that stifled Somerset’s attack.
While Ramiah Brangman offered some resistance for Somerset with six goals, they simply had no answer for the clinical precision of an Allshore side that appears to be finding peak form as the summer season progresses.
