Bermudian prospects Quincy Ratteray and Shiloh Anderson have officially begun their intensive European development stint, arriving at the Spain Rush-SPF Academy to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most competitive football environments.

The pair wasted no time in acclimatizing to their new surroundings in Valencia. Despite a grueling day of international travel, Ratteray and Anderson were on the pitch within hours of arrival, signaling their intent to make the most of the high-performance UEFA Pro coaching on offer.

The opening day for the Bermudian pair was a stark introduction to the physical demands of Spanish football. The session began with a rigorous 40-minute injury prevention and activation program—a cornerstone of the Spain Rush-SPF methodology—before transitioning into technical drills and high-intensity small-sided games.

Following an initial assessment by the academy’s UEFA-licensed coaching staff, both players have already been placed with local Spanish clubs that align with their current developmental levels. This placement is a critical component of the program, ensuring the duo gains authentic match experience within the Spanish league system while continuing their morning academy training.

What has defined the experience so far is the sheer intensity of the atmosphere. The academy serves as a global hub, bringing together elite young players from diverse football cultures across Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

For Ratteray and Anderson, the daily exposure to this "pressure cooker" environment is designed to challenge their comfort zones. In a system where tactical intelligence is valued as highly as physical output, the opportunity to train alongside peers with different playing styles is an invaluable education in what the "next level" truly requires.

The stint in Spain is more than just a training camp; it is a full-scale cultural and tactical immersion. By living and breathing the Spanish game, the players are being forced to adapt to a faster pace of play and a more demanding mental approach to the sport.

As they settle into their respective club routines, the focus remains on growth and learning. For these young Bermudians, the journey in Valencia is about proving they can not only compete in such an environment but thrive and elevate their game as they look toward future international opportunities.
