Dill & Richardson lead the way as Top Performers Revealed

IslandStats.com
The opening weekend of the cricket season has delivered an immediate scoring masterclass, with PHC’s Davin Dill setting the standard during the Champion of Champions festivities.

According to the latest performance data, Dill has claimed the honour of scoring the first century of the summer, anchoring his side’s effort with a magnificent unbeaten 103. His century unfortunately was not enough for PHC to win even though the club led the high-scoring individual totals and tactical bowling displays.

While Dill led the individual batting standings, Ricardo Brangman of St. David’s Cricket Club was not far behind, producing a dominant knock of 90 not out. Brangman’s innings was instrumental in his side’s successful weekend, showcasing the power and timing that have become his trademark at the crease. Completing the top three with the bat was Jonte Smith, representing St. George’s Cricket Club, who contributed a composed 69 runs to round out an impressive weekend for the island’s leading batsmen.

The battle with the ball was equally intense, spearheaded by a clinical performance from Kezie Richardson. The PHC bowler proved to be the most effective wicket-taker of the weekend, returning standout figures of four wickets for 42 runs from his four-over spell. Richardson’s ability to strike at regular intervals disrupted the opposition's momentum and established him as the early pace-setter in the bowling department for the 2026 campaign.

Following Richardson in the bowling honours was Donté Brangman of the Southampton Rangers, who produced an incredibly economical spell to stifle the scoring rate. Brangman conceded just seven runs across his three overs while picking up two crucial wickets, finishing as the second-most effective bowler of the round. Brian Hall of St. David’s Cricket Club completed the top three performers, claiming two wickets for 23 runs in his four overs. With several players already finding their rhythm, the statistical leaders suggest a highly competitive domestic season lies ahead.
