Golfer Daniel Muso helped steer his McDaniel College teammates into a competitive position after a challenging opening round at the Fred B. Kravetz Invitational.
The Green Terror squad ended the first day of play in fourth place overall, with Muso emerging as a standout performer on the individual leaderboard. Muso carded a steady two-over-par 74 to finish the round in a tie for twelfth place, keeping himself well within striking distance of the leaders heading into the final stages of the tournament.
His performance was a study in resilience and balance as he navigated the demanding course conditions. Muso’s round was highlighted by three birdies which helped offset a series of five bogeys. His ability to find consistency was further demonstrated by ten pars, ensuring he remained near the top of the standings despite the occasional setback on the greens.
With McDaniel currently locked in a battle for a podium finish, Muso’s form will be pivotal for the team’s aspirations. The squad will look to capitalize on Muso's momentum as they aim to climb the rankings and close the gap on the frontrunners in the second round of action.
