Bradford Laing has been crowned the Under-12 Red Championship winner at the third annual Talcott Cedarberry Bowl, following a disciplined three-day performance across Bermuda’s premier layouts.
The tournament, which concluded at the Belmont Hills Golf Club, saw the island's rising junior stars tested by a variety of conditions and course designs. Laing set the tone early in the week at the Mid Ocean Club, carding an opening round of 80 to establish an eight-stroke lead.
He followed that up with his low round of the tournament, a 77 at the technical Five Forts Golf Course, before navigating the undulating greens of Belmont Hills with a final-round 83. Finishing at 37-over par for the 54-hole event, Laing’s victory was a testament to his consistency across three different venues.
While Laing held a comfortable margin for much of the final day, the battle for the remaining podium spots remained a close-run affair.
Jack Jones secured the runner-up position, finishing the tournament at 60-over par. Joshua Cann completed the podium in third place, matching Jones at 60-over par but falling behind on a scorecard tie-break.
