The final day of the season for the two teams produced a high-octane encounter that remained on a knife-edge until the closing stages. X-Roads initially looked poised to spoil the home festivities when they broke the deadlock after 31 minutes. A defensive lapse proved costly for the Cougars as the ball was diverted into their own net, handing the visitors a lead that reflected their early enterprise.
However, the setback served only to galvanise the hosts. Kylan Browne emerged as the protagonist of a rapid-fire turnaround, restoring parity just four minutes later with a composed finish.
