The Bermuda Netball Association has successfully navigated a turbulent period of weather-induced disruption to complete a series of crucial fixtures across all divisions. Following a frustrating stretch where consistent play had been elusive since mid-January, the league has finally seen a flurry of action despite a backlog of reschedules and constant adjustments to the calendar.
In the youth ranks, the 10 and Under category saw a spirited encounter between Dandy Stars and Phoenix Sparks. A’nylah Tucker proved to be the standout performer for the Stars, claiming the Most Valuable Player award after an impressive display in the attacking circle. For the Sparks, the defensive efforts of A’mariss Dyer were matched by the tactical play of Savvy Degraff, though it was Iyla Bascome who earned the MVP honours for her side.
The 13 and Under division featured a competitive "Storm Derby" where Storm Lightning edged out Storm Thunder in a tight 10–8 victory. Eliana Trott was the driving force for Lightning, scoring nine of her team’s ten goals to secure the MVP title. However, Storm Thunder demonstrated their depth in a subsequent fixture against North Village Rams, cruising to a 20–6 win. Sochi Outerbridge was instrumental in that victory, while Honor White led the scoring with eight goals to help Thunder rebound in style.
Senior netball returned with high-scoring drama in the First Division, where the Atlantic Aces delivered a clinical performance to defeat Phoenix Flames 66–34. Kammie Mills was in irrepressible form, racking up 49 goals, while Hailey Trott provided excellent support with 17 goals and an MVP performance. Elsewhere in the division, Storm Nexgen dominated Hamilton Parish in a 49–12 victory. J’zari Zuill-Dillas spearheaded the attack with 19 goals, while the defensive work of Nai-lah Barclay earned her the match MVP.
The Premier Division saw Phoenix Heat involved in a trio of hard-fought matches that highlighted the competitive nature of the top flight. The Heat initially secured a narrow 26–20 win over St. George’s, with K’xiyae Gibbons scoring 23 goals. However, the Heat were later upended by the Tigers in a 32–23 defeat, where Khianda Pearman-Watson’s defensive masterclass earned her the MVP award for the winning side.
The rivalry between Phoenix Heat and St. George’s was renewed in a final showdown that saw the Heat reclaim their dominance. Led by a 27-goal haul from Keizhari Knight and a further 14 from K’xiyae Gibbons, Phoenix Heat powered to a 41–21 victory. Kenya Simons was named MVP for her defensive resilience, ensuring that despite the recent weather delays, the quality of Bermudian netball remains at a premium as the season heads into its final stages.
