Under the watchful eyes of Ben Smith, Warwick Academy will be well-represented on the international stage this weekend as a talented squad of 13 swimmers prepares to dive into the 2026 Easterns Swimming and Diving Championships.
The prestigious event, held at the Kunkel Aquatic Center at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, serves as one of the premier meets on the US independent school circuit.
The Warwick Academy squad features a mix of experienced campaigners and rising stars across both the male and female divisions.
The female team is led by a core group of five athletes: Elena Bortoli Elanna Fulton Sofia Leclerc Allison Steynor Jorgia White
The male contingent boasts eight swimmers looking to secure podium finishes and personal bests: Cameron Duda Noah Fulton Zachary Johnson Logan Jones Jacob Leclerc Jamie MacFarlane Ethan Smith Axel Wernbo
For many of these athletes, Easterns represents the culmination of a demanding winter training block in Bermuda. The Kunkel Aquatic Center's fast water and high-stakes atmosphere provide the perfect environment for the squad to test their speed against some of the top high school programs in the United States.
While individual medals are always the goal, the collective points for the Warwick Academy team will be a key focus as they look to climb the overall standings among the dozens of participating schools.
