Dill's Houston Red Storm Win in Throw Back Uniforms

IslandStats.com
In a performance as classic as the 2006 "Undertakers" uniforms they wore, the Houston Red Storm defeated the Central Texas Chaos 132 - 121 at the Spirit of Life Gym. The victory marked a triumphant return to Houston after a grueling five-game road stretch to start the second half of the season.

The Red Storm were led by a historic scoring outburst from Dylan Spriggins, who finished with a game-high 40 points, and a masterclass in versatility from Cam Moore, who recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

While CTX Chaos showed their "young and eager" spirit early with a 13-point run to lead 29-22, the Red Storm responded with a championship-caliber second quarter. Behind seven assists in the period, Houston outscored the Chaos 36-20 to take a 71-57 lead into halftime—a lead they would never relinquish.

"We emphasized defense from the opening tip and really challenged the guys to lock in during the third quarter," said Coach Terence Dill. "Coming off a long road trip, it’s easy to let your guard down, but our defensive rotations in that second-quarter stretch were the difference-maker."

New acquisition Rodman Allen had a massive breakout performance in his home debut, providing a spark off the bench with 21 points on a blistering 7-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Red Storm’s perimeter game was lethal, shooting 14-of-30 (47%) from deep, with Gerry Glover, Jaiden Myers, and Rodman Allen all hitting multiple three-pointers. On the glass, Houston dominated with 57 total rebounds, led by Gabriel Drayton’s 17 boards.
