With league leaders Strike Force watching from the sidelines during their scheduled bye week, the chasing pack made major strides to close the gap at the summit. The most significant movement came from Who Gives A Split, who surged into second place with a professional 3-1 victory over mid-table Spare Parts. The result ensures the pressure remains firmly on the pacesetters as the season heads toward its final stretch.
There was drama further down the podium places as third-placed Sweet Life were held to a gritty 2-2 draw by the ninth-placed Pin Heads. The draw represents a missed opportunity for Sweet Life to leapfrog into the top two, while providing a vital point for the Pin Heads as they look to climb away from the foot of the table.
Elsewhere, the Secret Weapons continued their impressive climb up the standings. Currently in fourth, the Weapons delivered a clinical display to defeat fifth-placed Too Legit To Split with a 3-1 scoreline. The victory creates breathing room for the Secret Weapons in the race for a top-four finish.
In the final match of the evening, eighth-placed Butt & Vallis found their rhythm to overcome the seventh-placed Horseshoe Bay Rollers 3-1. The result sees the two sides swap momentum in the bottom half of the division, further congesting the middle of the table.
