Middle School: Late Surge Secures Win for the West
The West team claimed victory in the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Middle School Netball All-Star game, pulling away with a late surge at the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium.
The turning point came in the second half, led by Saltus Grammar's Zara Bule, who scored four of her five goals in the second half to guide the West to a narrow 7-5 win. The West's other goals were scored by Warwick Academy's Quin Burgess and MSA's Rita Robinson.
For the East team, Cali Greenidge from Somersfield Academy led the scoring with four goals, while Whitney's Cataliah Pitcher-Place contributed a single goal.
The match MVPs were named as Kse Jennings from Dellwood Middle School and Kenzie McCrary from Saltus Grammar.
Senior Match: Red Team Runaway Winners
In the Senior School Netball All-Star match, the Red Team proved to be the runaway winners.
The victory was powered by the phenomenal shooting of Sioma Rudo from The Berkeley Institute, who had the 'hot hand' and scored a massive 22 goals for the victors. She was supported by BHS shooter Cailia Joell, who added nine goals, Saltus Grammar's Jaya Dillas with six, and Berkeley's Sanaa Grant with three.
The Blue Team effort was led by Naomi Crofton from Somersfield Academy, who scored eight goals. Warwick Academy's Kiyana Minors and Amariah Brangman-Johnson from CedarBridge Academy each contributed three goals.
Evie Hook from Saltus and Jaya Postlethwaite from Warwick Academy were named the match MVPs for the Senior game.
