Comet Class sailors navigated a cool easterly breeze measuring 11 to 13 knots on St. George’s Harbor for the Second Winter Series Regatta, where Maxwell Curtis and Wesley Tucker put on a dominant display to sweep the series.
The pairing of Maxwell Curtis and Wesley Tucker claimed outright victory in the Second Winter Series, achieving a perfect score by winning all three races held during the regatta. Their consistent speed and mastery of the easterly wind conditions made them unstoppable on the day.
The battle for second place was equally consistent, with the team of Dale Brangman and Tre’sure Nanette finishing as runners-up. They mirrored the winners by crossing the line in second place in all three races.
Securing the final podium spot were Gregory Wade and Geno Smith. The pair finished third overall with a total of 11 points, achieved through two fourth-place finishes and a third-place finish in the final race.
The regatta provided a demanding test for the fleet as the winter series continues.
