Blake Montgomery and his No. 10/9 Wisconsin men's hockey teammates delivered a massive statement victory, demolishing the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines 6-1 at Yost Ice Arena.

The Badgers’ special teams were lethal from the outset. Wisconsin scored two power-play goals in the first period, taking the lead 7:13 in from the stick of Ben Dexheimer. They extended that lead at 12:50 with a Gavin Morrissey power-play goal.
The offensive explosion continued into the second period, with Montgomery adding a goal just 1:25 into the frame. Michigan managed to pull one back shortly after with a short-handed goal at 4:59, but Aiden Dubinsky quickly restored the three-goal cushion at 7:34.
Wisconsin's third power-play goal of the night came at 17:47 into the second period when Christian Fitzgerald scored on a breakaway during a major power play.
To cap off the high-scoring affair against the No. 2 team in the country, Adam Pietila tallied his first goal of the season 6:05 into the third period, sealing the emphatic 6-1 victory for the Badgers.
