The Bermuda contingent concluded a sensational showing at the Pre-World Cup Pickleball Tournament in Florida, walking away with a brilliant medal haul highlighted by a dominant performance in the women’s singles.
The star of the final days was undoubtedly Wenda Roberts, who delivered an exceptional display to claim double gold in the 3.5 Women’s Singles division, triumphing in both the 50+ and the 65+ Age Groups.

The local dominance was never more apparent than in the Women’s 50+ Singles final, where Roberts faced fellow Bermudian Samantha Todd. Roberts emerged victorious, securing the gold and sealing a fantastic one-two finish for the island nation. Furthermore, Bermudian players completely swept the podium in the 65+ Women's Singles event, with Roberts securing her second gold, Sue Chiappa taking silver, and Sarah Fox clinching the bronze medal.

The success extended into the doubles categories. The pairing of Tom Mills and Melisa Judd secured gold in the 35+ 4.4 Mixed Doubles, demonstrating the depth of talent across the age spectrum. In the 50+ 4.0 Mixed Doubles, Tori Powell and Courtland Boyle battled hard to claim the silver medal. The only slight disappointment came in the 35+ 4.0 division, where Val Stevenson and Johnnie Singleton narrowly missed out on a medal, losing their bronze medal match.

The remarkable collection of medals provides a significant boost for the Bermudian team ahead of the main Pickleball World Cup competition.
