The 2025 Bermuda Open Wushu Championships is scheduled to take place this Saturday, 18 October, bringing together the island’s top martial artists for a day of competition and display.
The event will be held inside the Dellwood Middle School Gymnasium and will feature both senior and junior athletes competing across multiple disciplines.
The championships will see some of Bermuda’s most prominent Wushu talent in action, including:
Cole Durham and Che Beane, who are expected to compete in the Wushu Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) divisions. Krista Dyer and Kaelin Cox, who have recently represented Bermuda internationally, are also slated to participate.
The grace and athleticism of Wushu Taolu (forms) will be highlighted by Talia Iris, who will be showcasing her skills in the technical forms category.
The future of the sport will be on display with junior competitors Enzi Johnston, Muryah Swan, and Geraldine Sidders all set to participate.
The competition will be officiated by a panel of Pan American Wushu Federation-certified judges, featuring both local and overseas officials
