The Bermuda Women’s National Volleyball team has opened its campaign at the 2025 ECVA Women’s Final Four tournament with a confident victory over Grenada. The tournament, hosted in Antigua and Barbuda, offers the ultimate prize of a place in the prestigious 2026 NORCECA Panamerican Cup to the eventual winner.
Bermuda secured a convincing straight-sets victory against Grenada, winning 3-0 in the first match of the competition.
The set scores – 25-14, 25-10, 25-15 – demonstrate Bermuda’s control throughout the match. The team was rarely threatened by their opponents and consistently executed their game plan effectively.
Leading the offensive charge for Bermuda was Amber Simons, who delivered a standout performance, scoring a match-high 14 points. Her powerful attacking and solid play were instrumental in securing the opening day win.
The result is an excellent start for the Bermudian side as they compete in the round-robin format against the top four teams in the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) region. The team will look to build on this momentum as they continue their bid for the championship title and the coveted spot in the 2026 Panamerican Cup.
