Senators Prospect Montgomery Heading to Wisconsin

IslandStats.com
Blake Montgomery, a forward for the London Knights and prospect for the Ottawa Senators, is set to begin his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin this autumn. The move marks a new chapter for the promising player after a successful 2024-25 season that saw him split time between the USHL's Lincoln Stars and the OHL's London Knights.

Montgomery's season with the Knights was a memorable one. He tallied 23 goals and 50 points in just 51 games, finishing sixth in goals and ninth in points on the team's roster. His contributions were instrumental in the Knights' success, helping them secure the OHL Championship and their second consecutive Hamilton Spectator Trophy for the regular season title.

His clutch play continued into the postseason, where he notched three goals and 10 points in 17 playoff games during the OHL championship run. He was also a key factor in the Knights' 2025 Memorial Cup victory, scoring the game-winning goal in the semifinals to propel his team to the final. Montgomery recorded one goal and two points in five games at the tournament.

Before his time with the Knights, Montgomery started the 2024-25 season with the Lincoln Stars, where he posted three goals and 10 points in just 10 games before joining the OHL club in November.

This is not the first time Montgomery has navigated different leagues. His development path includes stints with the Mount St. Charles Acad 18U AAA team and the NCDC's New Jersey Rockets in 2022-23. The year before, he skated for the Seacoast Performance Academy in 2021-22.

Now, the talented forward will bring his dynamic offensive game to the NCAA as a member of the Wisconsin Badgers.
