Bermuda's junior golfers have completed the first day of competition at the North America Cup in Aurora, Canada, finishing in third place in the international match play event.
The tournament, which features Team Bermuda against teams from Canada and Mexico, began with a spirited display of competition. The six-player Bermudian team, made up of Lachlan Soutter, Cole Graham, Fletcher Logie, Isaac Davis, Camilo Legere, and Darina Betschart, battled hard throughout the day.
At the conclusion of the opening day, it was Team Mexico who took an early lead, sitting atop the leaderboard with a total of 17.5 points. Team Canada holds second place with 9 points, while Team Bermuda is in third with a total of 6.5 points.
With three more days of match play ahead, the Bermudian team will be looking to mount a comeback and gain ground on their opponents in what promises to be an exciting and competitive tournament.
