 Dylan Muso IslandStats.com Bermudian golfers Sienna Mosquera, Oliver Betschart and Dylan Muso have commenced their campaigns at the International Optimist Junior Golf Tournament, with Betschart making a particularly strong start in the Boy's 16-18 Age Group Division.
Both young talents teed off on the Golden Palm course for their opening round, facing a competitive international field.
Oliver Betschart delivered an impressive performance, carding a first-round score of 1-under par 70. This excellent start placed him in a tie for sixth position at the close of play on day one. Betschart's round was highlighted by four birdies, complemented by twelve pars. Despite a single bogey and one double bogey, his ability to stay under par showcased his composure and skill.
Dylan Muso also began his tournament in the same division, concluding his opening round with an 8-over par 79. Muso finished the day tied for 73rd. His scorecard for the round included one birdie and ten pars, alongside five bogeys and two double bogeys.
Sienna Mosquera playing in the Girls 15 - 18 Division, Mosquera ended the first round T36th after a 9-over par 81.
Mosquera’s round consisted of 11 Pars, 5 Bogey’s and 2 Double Bogey’s.
With several rounds remaining, all three Bermudian golfers will be looking to build on their opening performances as they continue to navigate the challenges of the International Optimist Junior Golf Tournament.
