Bermuda's National Men’s Football team faces a challenging, yet historic, path to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following CONCACAF's announcement of the match schedule for the final round of qualifiers. Bermuda have been drawn into Group B, where they will face regional powerhouses Jamaica, as well as Curacao and Trinidad & Tobago.
This final stage of CONCACAF qualification features 12 national teams divided into three groups of four. Each team will compete in a rigorous home-and-away round-robin format, playing six matches – three at home and three away – across the FIFA Match Windows of September, October, and November 2025.
The stakes are incredibly high. At the conclusion of this final round, the top team from each of the three groups will earn direct qualification to next summer’s FIFA World Cup, joining tournament co-hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Furthermore, the two best second-place finishers from across the three groups will advance to a FIFA Intercontinental Playoff, scheduled for March 2026, where they will compete for two additional World Cup berths.
For the first time in history, the CONCACAF region could see as many as eight teams represented at a men’s FIFA World Cup, highlighting the expanded format of the global showpiece.
Bermuda's journey in Group B promises to be a stern test, kicking off with a highly anticipated home clash against Jamaica at the National Sports Center.
