Bermuda's Netball Summer League has concluded with Lady Stars and Storm Chasers securing the top honours in their respective divisions. After a season of intense competition, both teams emerged as league champions, showcasing exceptional talent and teamwork on the court.
In the Women's Division, the Lady Stars claimed the coveted league title. Their success was significantly propelled by the phenomenal scoring ability of Marissa Brangman, who was crowned the Highest Goal Scorer with an outstanding 105 goals for the champions. PHC's Melissa Burrows was recognised as the Best Attacker, while her teammate Debre Evans earned the Best Defender accolade. The highly sought-after Overall MVP award for the Women's Division was presented to Demiqua Daniels from Devonshire Rec, acknowledging her stellar season.
The Coed Division saw the Storm Chasers dominate to take home the league trophy. Leading their charge was Antione Williams, who not only finished as the Highest Goal Scorer with an astonishing 231 goals but also scooped the Overall MVP award for the Coed Division, a testament to his commanding presence throughout the league. Sheldon Bahadosingh of BHB was named the Best Attacker, and Rakeem Deshields from Goal Diggers was celebrated as the Best Defender for his crucial contributions.
The league's conclusion marks a successful summer of netball, highlighting the vibrant talent and competitive spirit within Bermuda's netball community.
