The fourth stage of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Mexico has concluded, with both Bermudian teams securing ninth-place finishes in their respective divisions.
In the Women's Division, Megan Hands and Natalie Gazzard unfortunately benefited from a bye in the Losers Quarter-Finals, automatically placing them in ninth due to there being only nine teams in their category.
On the Men's side, Kyle Hamilton and Connor Somerville took to the court for the 8th & 9th place match. They faced a challenging encounter against Edgar Maldonado and Luis García Penagos from Guatemala. The Guatemalan pair proved too strong, winning 2-0 with set scores of 21-10, 21-13 in a match that lasted 35 minutes.
Despite not reaching the latter stages of the tournament, the experience gained by both Bermudian pairings at this senior NORCECA event, competing against some of the region's top teams, will be invaluable for their continued development in international beach volleyball.
