The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season continued last night at Bernard’s Park, delivering another series of captivating matches across both the Women’s and Co-ed Divisions.
The evening saw a mix of decisive victories and competitive encounters.
Women's Division: St. George's, Lady Stars & Phoenix Flames Triumphant
In the Women's Division opener, St. George’s Cricket Club defeated K-Net Assets 27-20. Hailey Smith was named St. George’s Best Attacker, Tamae Flood the Best Defender, and Nicole Smith the MVP. For K-Net Assets, Khianda Pearman-Watson was both Best Attacker and MVP, with Allison King as Best Defender.
Next up, Lady Stars delivered a commanding performance, routing Law & Disorder 53-7. Chiaje Rudo was Lady Stars' Best Attacker, Asante Chapman the Best Defender, and Kaylee Lema the MVP. For Law & Disorder, Sarai Paul was Best Attacker, Malacia Madden Best Defender, and Rachel Nightingale the MVP.
The final Women’s Division match saw the Phoenix Flames defeat PHC 12-8. Eshe Grant was the Phoenix Flames' Best Attacker, Antonia Holder their Best Defender, and Uni Simmons the MVP. PHC's Best Attacker was Terita Bean, while Debre Evans was named both Best Defender and MVP.
Co-ed Division: Storm Chasers and Gold Diggers Secure Wins
In the Co-ed Division, Storm Chasers delivered a strong performance, defeating BHB 35-18. Antoine Williams was the Storm Chasers' Best Attacker, Debre Evans the Best Defender, and Amaury Majors the MVP. Sheldon Bahadosingh was BHB's Best Attacker, Tina Wall their Best Defender, and Stacey Brown their MVP.
Finally, the Gold Diggers defeated the Bean Counting Netballerz 18-7. Rakeem Deshields was the Gold Diggers’ Best Attacker, Idrees Sharieff the Best Defender, and Asante Chapman the MVP. For the Bean Counting Netballerz, Denise Truter was Best Attacker, Marnus Slabbert Best Defender, and Allison King the MVP.
Another action-packed night at Bernard's Park highlighted the competitive and dynamic nature of the Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season.
