Dominant Displays Continue in Netball Summer League

The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season continued last night at Bernard’s Park, delivering another series of captivating matches across both the Women’s and Co-ed Divisions.

The evening saw some comprehensive victories as teams vied for supremacy on the court.

Women's Division: Phoenix Flames and PHC Secure Convincing Wins

In the Women's Division opener, the Phoenix Flames delivered a commanding performance, extinguishing Law & Disorder with a decisive 38-5 victory. Best Attacker Sydney Santos led the charge for the Flames, netting 11 goals, ably supported by Caillia Joell (10 goals), Uni Simmons (7 goals), Krishay Tucker (6 goals), and Amari Graham (4 goals). Sanaa Grant was named the MVP. For Law & Disorder, MVP and Best Attacker Kandrea Romaine scored 2 goals, with Terita Flood adding 2 and Sarai Paul one. Malacia Madden was their Best Defender.

The second match in the division saw PHC defeat St. George’s Cricket Club 25-17. Tyra Simmons was prolific for PHC, scoring 15 goals. Sarafina Woolridge-Burns added 5 goals, Best Attacker Selah Tuzo contributed 4, and Terita Bean scored twice. Debre Evans was named Best Defender and MVP. For St. George’s Cricket Club, MVP Nisaiah Berkeley and Coriah Simmons both scored 7 goals, while Stacey O'Brien added 3. Shawnae Brangman was their Best Attacker, and Riley Jones their Best Defender.

Co-ed Division: BHB and Storm Chasers Impress

In the Co-ed Division opener, BHB delivered a strong performance, defeating RenRe 28-10. Best Attacker Sheldon Bahadosingh led BHB's scoring with 12 goals. Frederica Walker and their Best Defender both added 6 goals, Kristin Holman scored 3, and Stacey O'Brien contributed one. Demiqua Daniels was named the MVP. RenRe saw MVP Jamie Cedenio score 6 goals, with Best Attacker Alice Cedenio and Naron Woods adding 2 goals each. Brighton Swan was their Best Defender.

The final game of the night saw the Storm Chasers dominate the Front Street Mafia with a 33-14 victory. Storm Chasers' Best Attacker Antoine Williams was in exceptional form, netting 20 goals. Selah Tuzo added 8 goals, and MVP Amaury Majors scored 5. Josh Hardtman was named the team's Best Defender. For the Front Street Mafia, Charlie Evans scored 7 goals, Meg Sherwin added 5, and Jasmine Mapp contributed two. Olivia Bugg was their Best Attacker, Nathan Clara the Best Defender, and Jana Philips the MVP.

Another action-packed night at Bernard's Park highlighted the competitive and dynamic nature of the Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season.
