Adam Hall and his Nashville Sounds teammates roared back to level their series against the Indianapolis Indians with a commanding 9-6 victory on Wednesday night at Victory Field.
The Sounds' offense exploded early in the game, scoring all nine of their runs within the first four innings, overwhelming the Indians' pitching. A key feature of the win was the strong performances from several Nashville hitters, with four of the starting nine recording multi-hit games.
Anthony Seigler and Bobby Dalbec were the standout offensive forces for the Sounds. Both players finished just a triple shy of completing a rare cycle, and remarkably, their combined eight hits accounted for over half of Nashville's total of 14 on the night.
Hall contributed to the offensive effort, going 1 for 4 from the plate and also scoring a run for the Sounds.
Seigler wasted no time in extending his impressive hitting streak, which leads the entire International League. After enjoying the series opener off, he led off the game with a blistering triple – the first of his four hits on the night. He continued his hot hitting with singles in the second and fourth innings, and a double in the fifth, putting him just a home run away from a cycle through his first four at-bats. Seigler ended the game with an outstanding 4-for-6 performance, also scoring three runs.
After establishing an early 4-0 lead in the first inning and extending it to 5-0 in the top of the second, the Sounds piled on another four runs in the top of the fourth inning. Bobby Dalbec was the catalyst for this surge, smashing a crucial three-run home run. This blast made him a perfect 3-for-3 in his first three plate appearances, adding to his earlier single in the first and an RBI double in the second, giving him a total of four RBIs for the game. Like his teammate Seigler, Dalbec finished the night just a triple shy of the cycle, ending his outing 3-for-5. Eddie Rosario capped off the four-run fourth inning with a valuable two-out RBI single, and he also enjoyed a productive night at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
This dominant offensive performance allowed the Nashville Sounds to even the series and will give them confidence as they look to take the advantage in the remaining games against the Indianapolis Indians.
