Narraway on the Podium IslandStats.com Nicholas Narraway put in another impressive ride this weekend, finishing second overall and claiming the Mountain Jersey at the 49th edition of the Ronda Ciclista al Maestrat in Spain.
Racing for his Spanish-based team, Tenerife–Bike Point–La Sede, Narraway was part of a two-man breakaway that led the race for much of the 158-kilometre course. The race, known for its steep climbs and narrow backroads, saw Narraway shine on the hills, winning the points needed to take the King of the Mountains title.
The final stretch came down to a sprint between Narraway and Puerto Rican rider Christopher Morales (Controlpack), with Morales just edging ahead to take the win on the line clocking 3:37:26, which was the same time as Narraway.
With only 55 of the 114 starters making it to the finish, the race lived up to its reputation for being one of the more selective and tactical events on the Spanish calendar. Narraway’s podium finish and mountain honours confirm he’s continuing to make his mark in the European peloton.
Meanwhile, cyclist Conor White continued his participation in the challenging 2025 Tour de la Manche, a five-day stage race winding through the scenic Normandy region of northern France. Day Two presented a demanding double header for the peloton, featuring both a time trial and a road race.
The morning saw White and his fellow competitors tackle Stage Two, an individual time trial spanning 11.2 kilometres starting and finishing in Barneville-Carteret. White, representing Muc-Off-SRCT-Storck, finished in 50th place, clocking a time of 15 minutes and 38 seconds. The stage victory went to Artus Jaladeau, who set a blistering pace to finish in 14 minutes and 26 seconds, leaving White one minute and twelve seconds adrift.
Later in the day, the riders returned to Barneville-Carteret for Stage Three, an 89-kilometre road race. White crossed the finish line in 66th position with a time of 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 12 seconds. The stage winner was Léandre Huck, who completed the course in 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 44 seconds, just twenty-eight seconds ahead of White.
Day Two's double dose of racing will have tested the endurance and tactical awareness of the riders. White's efforts in both the time trial and the road race will contribute to his overall general classification as he continues to navigate the remaining stages of the Tour de la Manche. The varied terrain and consecutive days of racing are sure to present further challenges as the race progresses through the Normandy countryside.
Kaden Hopkins (US Lamentin) won the Grand Prix Jack Auto in Sainte-Anne (Guadeloupe), an Elite, Open and Access event organized by VC Saintannais. He beat Esneider Baez and Ronald Geran both represent Team CAMA CCD.
