The Bermuda Cricket Board has informed players in the squad selected to represent the island at the 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Regional Final Qualifying tournament. The squad sees a couple of changes from the team that recently participated in the inaugural North America Cup tournament.
According to sources, Chare Smith and Tre Manders have been included in the 14-man squad. They replaced Allan Douglas and Dalin Richardson, with Richardson named as a standby player. Notably, the squad will be without the services of experienced campaigners Dion Stovell and Kamau Leverock, who reports indicate made themselves unavailable for selection.
Bermuda faces a crucial challenge in this qualifying tournament, where they will compete against host nation Canada, the Bahamas, and the Cayman Islands. The stakes are high, with the winner of the tournament securing a coveted spot at the 2026 T20 World Cup. They would join the United States and the West Indies, who have already automatically qualified from the Americas region as hosts.
The Bermuda squad, led by captain Terryn Fray, will be aiming to navigate this challenging qualifying group and secure their place on the global stage in 2026.
