Bermuda's participation in the One Guyana 3x3 Quest Basketball Tournament has concluded at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, with a final match that determined their fate in the competition.
The Bermuda team, consisting of John Lee, Yusef Riley, Darea Smith, and Johnathan Lowe, competed in Pool B alongside a diverse range of international teams.
The tournament, a celebration of 3x3 basketball, brought together teams from 17 countries, including Ecuador, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and Suriname.
In their final Pool B Division match, Bermuda faced a strong challenge from Lausanne, representing Switzerland. The match ended in a 21-12 victory for Lausanne.
Unfortunately, the result meant that Bermuda did not advance to the Quarter-Finals stage of the tournament.
While Bermuda's journey in the One Guyana 3x3 Quest concluded at the pool stage, the tournament provided a valuable opportunity for the team to compete against international competition and gain experience in the dynamic and fast-paced 3x3 format.
