The Baltimore Blast head coach Danny Kelly in his second full season, and 16-year indoor soccer veteran David Bascome the teams assistant coach have invited 4 players from the Island Soccer League to Baltimore for tryouts to showcase their skills. These players will have a chance at possibly becoming a member of the Blast team for the upcoming 2007-08 MISL season.
The four players are Cud-joe Matthews and Shea Simmons from the Kings, Marlon Rojas from Apex, and Antoine Russell from the Storm will depart Bermuda on September 18th, and travel to Baltimore.
The tryouts will be held on September 19th, 20th & 21st, if they are successful they will then return on Monday September 24th to train with the full squad, Kelly said, we currently are looking for players and we indeed have spots available for players to fill the gaps.
Russell scored 17 regular league goals for the Storm during the ISL Season, while Simmons scored 9 times during the regular season for the Kings. Rojas scored 3 league goals for Apex.
