The Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Albert Steede, a former National and Cup Match Captain, and player in the 2005 ICC trophy squad that qualified for the Cricket World Cup, has been officially appointed to the National Selection panel.
This follows an extensive search process following the vacancy created when Mr. Elvin James stepped down from his role as selector.
Mr. Reginald Pearman is quoted:
“The BCB feels that Mr. Steede is the ideal candidate to fit this role as a National Selector. With his extensive background and experience in cricket both nationally and internationally, he will bring added depth and value to the panel. It is important that the panel represents a wide cross section of the cricketing world, and we believe that with his age and background knowledge, Mr. Steede will provide additional strengths and diversity to the Selection Committee.”
