Wells, Smith and License Updates

Nahki Wells

Nahki Wells and his Bradford City teammates ended a run of five home League Two matches without a win with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wycombe.

Wells started the match on the bench before making his way onto the pitch in the 86th minute.

It was their first triumph at Valley Parade in 2013 - their last home success being a 2-1 win over Accrington on Boxing Day. Since then Bradford had suffered three defeats and two draws.

The only goal came in the eighth minute when Kyel Reid's free-kick found James Hanson at the far post and he headed the ball down for Garry Thompson to fire home from five yards.

Jonte Smith

Danny Potter was a hero at one end saving a penalty in the early exchanges and Darren Lok grabbed a late outstanding winner in a pulsating 2-1 win, for Jonte Smith and his Eastbourne Borough Football Club teammates.

Simon Johnson gave The Sports a first half lead before a late equalizer appeared to give Hayes and Yeading an undeserved share of the points before Lok weaved his way through the visitors defense for another last gasp winner.
