Taurean Manders and his York Region Shooters teammates played to a 1-1 tie in another close encounter against Kingston FC, in the Canadian Soccer League First Division.
Kingston FC took the lead after 15 minutes at the Invista Centre when Edgar Soglo took a cross from the right wing just outside the six-yard box to push the ball past York Region goalkeeper Emanuelle Ameltonis.
Almost immediately after the re-start, York Region Shooters were on even terms with a goal by Manders who struck the ball from 20 yards to beat Kingston goalkeeper Morgan Kenny.
York Region were down to 10 men at the 74th minute mark when defender Ricky Heron received a second caution at 74 minutes and referee Carolanne Chenard then brought out the red.
There were scoring chances at both ends during the second half, but the game ended 1-1.
Nahki Wells
Meanwhile Wells' stunning strike against Rochdale in the F.A Cup back in November has been voted as the club official website's goal of the 2011/2012 season.
Picking up the ball from well within his own half, Wells ran at a retreating Rochdale before slamming an unstoppable shot into the top corner from all of 30 yards out - a worthy winner of any award.
Wells' wonder goal beat off competition from other superb City strikes this season, such as Michael Flynn's piledriver at Sheffield United, Jamie Devitt's curler against Port Vale and Kyel Reid's well-constructed winner at Torquay United.
