 Roger Dill IslandStats.com With the news that Roger Dill has been retained on the ICC Associate and Affiliate International Umpires panel 2011 the Bermuda Cricket Umpire Association (BCUA) offered their Congratulations.
The BCUA Secretary Richard Austin said, “Dill has been on the panel since it was first put together in 2005 (ICC Associate and Affiliate Panel) and counted among his experiences are ODIs involving test nations: England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.”
Austin continued, “Dill has been the BCUA Training Officer for the past three years during which he has shared his international knowledge and experience to the advancement of local umpiring and the overall development and improvement of Bermuda's cricket.”
“As the members and friends of the BCUA congratulates Dill and our colleague Courtney Young of the Cayman Islands who has been elevated to this top panel for us umpiring at the Associate Level, we also acknowledge the support and encouragement given to him from his family, the Bermuda Fire Service, the Bermuda Cricket Board and the local cricket community,” Austin went on to say.
Austin concluded, “His re-appointment is testament of the quality umpires Bermuda continues to produce and shows there are benefits to be derived from taking up this most disciplined and challenging aspect of cricket.”
