Bromby Falls in Bacardi Cup
Peter Bromby and Crew < b>Magnus Liljedahllost their chance of defending the Star Class BACARDI Cup Trophy they won last year.

Bromby and Liljedahl entered the day in second place overall, with racing cancelled yesterday due to tornado warnings. Bromby and his crew was one of five boat that Did Not Finish taking 85 points.

Bromby is allowed to throw out his worst finish and already having a finish of 52nd in the first race, saw Bromby fall from 2nd to 17th with 64 points.

Byte North American Championships

Day three of the Byte North American Championships held on the North Sound, Grand Cayman was completed, with four of Bermuda’s sailors remain in the top 10.

The regatta also serving as the Youth Olympic Qualifier for North America, sees a lead change after 9 races. Ian Barrows from US Virgin Islands has taken over from Eugene Hendrikx from the Netherlands Antilles. Bermuda's Rahiem Steede form continued and he finds himself in 6th place overall with 54 points. Kalin Hillier is in 8thwith 73 points, Owen Siese is currently in 9th place with 75 points and Dimitri Stevens is in 10th with 87 points. Davis Alexander is in 21st with 195 points. Mackenzie Cooper finds himself in 24th with 214 points.

The top 4 eligible countries will gain spots for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore this August. Bermuda is currently the fifth country on the leaderboard and will be looking to make inroads to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games.
