The opportunity of a life time awaits a young Bermuda athlete, come March in Calema, USA qualification for the Youth Olympic Games for the Boy's and Girl's Windsurfers will get underway.
The equipment chosen for the Boy’s and Girl’s Windsurfing events at the Youth Olympic Games is the Bic Techno 293, a one design class that is devoted to fostering the development of windsurf racing for competitors under the age of 17 years old around the world through the promotion of an inexpensive racing format.
A series of 6 continental qualification regattas will be the major factor determining which nations qualify for Singapore in August 2010 - full details of the qualification system is available on ISAF's dedicated YOG microsite www.sailing.org/yog.

Oceanic Championship - Largs, Australia. 6-10 January Asian Championship - Pattaya, Thailad. 15-23 January South American Championship- Sao Paulo, Brazil. 25-31 January North American Championship - Calema, USA. 5-7 March African Championship - Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. 22-28 March
