At the Somerset Cricket Club, visiting St. George’s Colts came away with all three points following this 3 – 0 win over the Paget Lions.
The visitors did not have everything their own way, as St. George’s Colts goalkeeper Freddy Hall made a save diving to his right to block Paget’s Y-Ron Astwood’s shot in the second minute.
In the 25th minute Paget’s goalkeeper Andre Bean made three point blank saves to keep the score at 0-0, however ten minutes later St. George’s Colts did go in front when Neil Paynter converted from the penalty spot after a hand ball in the box.
The visitors came close to doubling the lead in the 66th minute, but Bean dove and made a save at the feet of an on rushing Mackie Crane, but six minutes later St. George’s did go ahead 2 – 0 when Jade Foggo’s shot from the right size beat Bean and then in the 87th minute the First Division League’s Leading scorer Jahron Dickinson made it 3 – 0 with a low shot to Bean’s right.
