Katrina Williams and the Old Dominion sailing team, ranked 19th nationally, claimed a pair of fifth place finishes recently. Old Dominion finished fifth in both an 18-team field at the War Memorial Regatta and in a 17-team field at the Navy's Top Nine Invitational.
At the War Memorial Regatta, hosted by St. Mary's, junior skipper Stephanie Roble led Old Dominion to a fourth-place finish in the A Division. Roble sailed with junior crew Ashley Pellerito and senior crew Michael Komar. Old Dominion grabbed top-five finishes in 12 of the 18 A Division races.
Senior skipper Williams, freshman crew Shannon Wilkins and sophomore crew Ariana Baker placed seventh in the B Division. The trio had 10 top-five finishes and Williams and Baker claimed victory in the eighth race.
