David Bascome - Commissioner of the Island Soccer League presented the league, to invited guess and the media today at the BUEI.
A very excited Bascome, announced the Mission of the league which are as follows:
1. TO CREATE A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR BERMUDA'S MOST TALENTED PLAYERS 2. TO ESTABLISH BERMUDA'S PLAYERS AS ROLE MODELS FOR THE ISLAND'S YOUTH 3. TO HELP BERMUDIAN SOCCER REACH ITS FULL POTENTIAL
Bascome, also named the 8 teams that will take part in the first year of play which will get underway May 2007 - August 2007.

I.S.L. Deputy Commissioner Brian P. Stanilla added that he was also excited about the chance to see Bermudian players show their talent on and off the playing field.
