The St. Mary's College of Maryland coed sailing team placed ninth at the Danmark Trophy hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. St. Mary's totaled 299 points in 30 completed races, finishing behind No. 3 Roger Williams University.
Senior Jesse Kirkland skippered the A division boat to seventh place with freshman crew Katie Gluskin, recording 137 points.
In B division, freshman skipper Joshua Greenslade finished 10th with senior crew Kelly Wilbur with 162 points, just two points off a ninth-place finish.
Top-ranked Yale University took top honors at Danmark with 156 points as they placed first in A division and third in B division.
