Sydney Fischer and her Blair Academy Varsity Field Hockey teammates opened their season with a 7 – 0 win over Newton.
Blair scored 2 goals in the first period, they added another goal in the second period as they took a 3 – 0 lead to the break. The lead was 5 – 0 at the end of the third period, before scoring two more in the fourth period.
Fisher would score the team's 5th goal in the third period.
