Edmonton Oilers 1 Vancouver Canucks 5
In the opener the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5 – 1, the Vancouver Canuck would get 2 goals apiece off the sticks of Nathan Kowalski and Ross Rufiange, while Christopher Jackson added the other. Adam Mattatall would score the lone goal for the Edmonton Oilers.
Toronto Maple Leafs 10 Calgary Flames 5
In the nightcap the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Calgary Flames 10 – 5. Christopher Merritt would lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to victory with a hat-trick, while Ronnie Dzurus and Warren Miller both scored twice, John Duda, Jj Saur and Brian White all added a goal each. The Calgary Flames would get two goals from Robbie Bailey and Chris Grantier, with Rob Rego adding the other.
