Maha Clarke and her Queens University of Charlotte Field Hockey team lost 2-0 on the road at Newberry College bringing their overall record to 1-4 on the year. Newberry improve to 4-2 with the win.

Queens outshot Newberry, 12-9, putting six shots on goal to their five. Unfortunately, they would come up short finding the back of the cage on any of their shots as Newberry succeeded twice to secure the win.
Both Newberry goals would come in the second half where both offenses took eight shots each. Kristyna Oyola of the Wolves was the first to score in the 36th minute of play, and an insurance goal followed in the 56th from the stick of Farai Kawonde.
Mazvita Mtisi led Queens with five shots. Maya Forbes followed with three shots, and Jill Sherman totaled two shots. Queens goalkeeper Kelsey Fringer recorded three saves in 70 minutes of play.
