The Gatineau Olympiques defeated the Tri City Americans 8 - 6 in the opener.
Rob Bailey and JM Tremblay both scored hat-trick for the Gatineau Olympiques, with Matthew Fullerton and Christopher Merritt adding a goal each. Jacob scored two goals for the Tri City Americans, with Josh Bush, Derek Winch, Brian White and Christopher Jackson all adding a goal each.

The Sarnia Sting got single strikes off the sticks of Adam Mattatall, Christopher Scott, Ross Rufiange and Josh Bush as they defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 4 - 1. Pete Brodsky scored the lone goal for the Halifax Mooseheads.
