Dame Flora Duffy, Maddie Durkin and Nicole Mitchell competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in St George, Utah.
Dame Duffy competing in the Elite Women’s race crossed the line 5th, Duffy, throughout the race chased the Women’s winner Taylor Knibb, of USA, at times moving up to 2nd on the bike, also dropping to 5th at times.
Knibb, clocked a winning time of 4:03:20, while Duffy crossed the line in a time of 4:13:33.
Duffy clocked 24:21 on the Swim, 2:21:29 on the Bike Course, and 1:25:04 on the Run Course.
Durkin finished 16th competing in the Female 40-44 Age Group Division out of 263, clocking a time 5:12:30. Durkin was 206 female finisher overall out of the 1,823 competitors, she clocked a time of 30:31 in the Swim, 2:52:17 on the Bike and 1:40:12 for the Run.
With a time of 5:42:17, Mitchell was 107th in the 35-39 Age Group Division out of 238, Mitchell was 670th overall clocking 34:19 in the Swim, 2:53:53 on the Bike, and 1:57:59 in the Run.
