Wells on social media posted, “It was a hot, windy, tough kind of day but that just made it all the more rewarding! There were highs and lows, smiles and grimaces along the way and I’m so grateful to be able to train and race with Steven Wells who never fails to support me and make the journey easier.”
Hasselkuss finished 21st in the Men’s 55 – 59 Age Group Division with a time of 6:00:51, Hasselkuss 275th overall, and the 220th male runner to cross the line.
Hasselkuss posted on social media, “Mission accomplished - solid day without “killing myself”. Stitches on the run caused me finish just above 6 hours. Tough but beautiful conditions - what an amazing race venue.”
