As we continue the countdown to the CARIFTA Triathlon and Aquathlon which will take place September 28th & 29th in Tobago will see Bermuda represented by 20 athletes.

Bella Howes – 11-12 Girls Triathlon & Aquathlon
Howes is a competitive swimmer who has participated in the Bermuda National Development Team Training Squad and represented Bermuda at overseas swimming competitions in Canada. Along with swimming, Howes has participated in various local running, cycling and junior triathlon events in Bermuda. She is honored and excited to be representing Bermuda in the Triathlon and Aquathlon events at Carifta and has really enjoyed training with the Bermuda team and coaches.
Jasmin Hasselkuss – 11-12 Girls Triathlon & Aquathlon
Hasselkuss has been competing in triathlon locally for almost 5 years and has also competed in Canada for the past 4 years. She is a member of Tri-Hedz junior triathlon club in Bermuda. From a young age, Hasselkuss has loved sports, especially running, cycling and swimming and has competed in many local cross-country and road races, open water swims, team swim meets, duathlons and triathlons. In 2018, she placed 3rd in the Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon in the 11-15 age group and won the Tokio Millenium Re triathlon 11-12 age group. Hasselkuss also loves cycling and won her age group in the Butterfield Grand Prix and the Bank of Bermuda Time Trial championship. She is thankful to all her coaches and is very proud to be representing Bermuda in the 2018 CARIFTA Games in Tobago.
Callum MacFarlane – 11-12 Boys Triathlon and Aquathlon
MacFarlane has been competing in triathlon for approximately 3 years and has won and placed in many local events. In 2017, he won the Bermuda Triathlon Association award for best male junior triathlete (7-10 age group). He has finished in the top ten on two occasions in the Front Street Mile - Primary School category. He trains at Harbour Swim Club, MAAC Juniors (running) and TriHedz (junior triathlon). His favorite discipline is cycling, and he is very much looking forward to CARIFTA 2018 which will be his first international event.
